Fall/Winter Letter from Our Athletic Director- Mr. Jon Oliveros

It's hard to believe that our fall season sports have come and gone and now getting ready for our winter sports. Practices for curling and basketball have started and we're looking forward to a great start of our winter sports.

Our fall sports began with the Moose Jaw Invitational where Martin Alberts finished 3rd in his category our Nikki Samson finishing 2nd in hers.Elementary Cross Country

Nikki then competed at the Cross-Country Districts where she finished 1st allowing to compete at provincials where she finished 26th out of 107 runners and she’s only in grade 9. Excellent job, Nikki! She might be small, but she sure is mighty!Nikki S.

Congrats to our senior girls making CCS history by making top three out of 70 teams in the 2A classification by finishing bronze against Gravelbourg at provincials in LCBI.Sr. Girls Vball

Our senior boys came close to moving on to provincials but an injury to their captain and 2 points were obstacles that they had to overcome.Sr. Boys Vball

Our elementary A girls wrapped up their season finishing 3rd in the cities against Palliser Heights. A Girls Vball

Our elementary A boys had an up and down season and almost pulled an upset against Palliser Heights in the quarterfinals.A Boys Vball

Both our B teams had great seasons at their leagues as well. Thanks to all our coaches and the countless hours they sacrificed for our student athletes throughout this fall season. We couldn’t run our sports program without them.

Our high school teams are co-oping with Briercrest (girls) and Riverview (boys) and practices have already begun. Along with basketball, curling practices for both elementary and high school are underway with the first high school game begins this week. Our elementary basketball teams will start soon so stay tuned for announcements.

As we continue with our winter sports, keep an eye on the schedule for practices and games here online. Come support our teams throughout this winter season. As the senior boys’ volleyball team voice their rally cry: Stay Frosty!
